Fall Mini Sessions (For All!) at Lincoln Park
Last fall, I put together a day of mini portrait sessions at Lincoln Park in West Seattle. I've done boudoir mini sessions every winter for the past 5 years (see the recap of 2025's sessions here), but I had yet to offer portrait mini sessions. Typically, these types of portrait mini sessions are offered by photographers who specialize in family photography, and while I do love working with families and kids, my work often focuses more on people who don't have children (considering most people get married before having kids).
But why should that stop me from offering portrait mini sessions? Don't DINKs deserve nice photos of themselves too?
Yes, they do. So while parents with children were more than welcome to book these sessions (and are welcome to book future mini sessions too!), I tried to make it clear that these mini sessions were for everyone, and the result was a delightful mix of people who were excited to get 20 minutes worth of nice photos of themselves! There was a couple who wanted a photo for their holiday card, a woman who wanted new headshots and managed to talk her father into taking a couple pictures with her too, and a woman who just wanted some new pictures of herself that weren't selfies.
If you're reading this and bummed that you missed out on your chance for a portrait mini session, fear not! I had so much fun doing this that I plan on doing more in the future!
