What is a mini session?
A mini session is exactly what it sounds like - it's the same as a regular portrait session, but a little bit shorter and at a lower price point. Whether you're looking for an updated annual family photo, new headshots, or just a cute picture with your dog, these mini sessions can be a great opportunity for you.
Traditionally, mini sessions like this have targeted parents with children, and while those types of families are more than welcome to book a mini session with me, I'd also love to encourage people without children to consider booking one! Everyone deserves to have nice photos of themselves. This mini session is perfect for:
- people looking for an updated annual family photo
- couples with dogs who wouldn't be able to sit still for a full portrait session
- single people who want to replace their old school photos on their parents' fridge
- people who need a new headshot for all their social media profiles
- polycules, groups of roommates, and other non-traditional families
- anyone who wants nice photos of themselves on a budget
The next round of mini sessions will be sometime in fall (when wedding season is winding down). Sign up for the mailing list if you want to be the first to hear about them!

FAQ
But what if I'm really awkward in front of the camera?
That's fine! Most of my clients try to warn me that they're "too awkward", but you probably can't tell which ones they are from the photos on my website. I will coach you throughout the session and guide your poses, so you'll never have to wonder what the heck you're supposed to do with your hands. I like to focus my sessions on prompts rather than poses, so you'll feel more natural, and your photos will look more candid.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes! However, to be respectful of both Seattle laws and the other park visitors, your dog will need to be on-leash at all times. I also request that if you plan to have some photos that don't include the dog, please bring an extra person to assist with dog wrangling.
What happens if it rains?
If there's a torrential downpour, the sessions will be postponed, and you'll receive an email with information on next steps. Otherwise, the show must go on! Please be prepared for Seattle drizzle and dress accordingly.
