Owen Beach Portrait Session

Point Defiance Park is one of my favorite spots in Tacoma to do photoshoots, and I'm so glad Erin was excited about it too! She's based in Gig Harbor, and while I'm based in Seattle, I'm always happy to travel, and Tacoma is perfectly in between us. Point Defiance has woods, meadows and ocean, which makes it perfect for all kinds of nature-inspired photoshoots. It was important for Erin to have photos by the water, and so Owen Beach in Point Defiance Park was the ideal spot.

Erin also brought her dog along for some of the photos. These photos were going to be used in an adoption application portfolio as she's planning to expand her family soon, and so having her dog in some of the photos was important to really show who she is and what her life is like. I always love photographing people with their pets, as long as they bring along a friend or family member to help look after them when they're not in front of the camera! Erin brought her mother, who was a wonderful help in dog management.
